THREE MHKs will be on the platform next week when the Positive Action Group (PAG) debates the latest political decisions regarding the Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill.

Quintin Gill (Rushen), Chris Robertshaw (Douglas East) and Juan Watterson (Rushen) have accepted invitations to attend the meeting following the decision by the House of Keys this week to continue the consultation process by referring the matter to a three-man committee.

The House voted 12-12 on Tuesday with Speaker Steve Rodan choosing to use his casting vote to establish the committee.

The three MHKs will be joined on the panel by former law lecturer Peter Murcott and civil liberties campaigner Tristram Llewellyn Jones.

Chairman of PAG, Roger Tomlinson, said, “We invite the public to come along on Monday to find out more about the possible outcomes on individuals and families if the legislation eventually is approved in its present form.”

The PAG meeting takes place on Monday next, November 29th, at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas, starting at 7.30pm.
