Around 1,000 students from the Isle of Man's five secondary schools are decending on the Villa Marina today (Thursday), for an annual careers fair, organised by the Manx government.
'Employment and Skills 2010' is being run by two government departments, with the aim of giving young people and adults a chance to talk to a wide range of employers, and find out what job opportunities are available on the Island.
MLC Claire Christian, who is responsible for employment and skills within the Department of Economic Development, says it’s an important time for many people, and not just those leaving school (play audio file):
The event runs from 9am to 8pm but will be closed for an hour from 3.30pm.
