An ear, nose and throat specialist at Noble’s Hospital has been further remanded in custody.
Dr Dirk Heinz Hoehman, of West Baldwin in Braddan, is alleged to have obtained ?736,000 by deception from the Department of Health and Social Security.
He is also accused of possessing a regulated firearm without a certificate.
There was no application for bail this morning (Tuesday), and he will appear before Deputy High Bailiff Alastair Montgomerie again on December 7.
