THE Isle of Man will be represented at the Aftermarket Europe conference in Stockholm next week alongside leading logistics and supply chain academics and directors of major global enterprises.
Companies represented include ABB, Alstom, Caterpillar, Siemens, SKF and Sony Ericsson. Steve Burrows of Port Erin-based consultancy SBA will be giving the conference's "Visionary Outlook" presentation on the future of Information Technology in Field Service.
Steve is an acknowledged expert on post-sales service strategy including field service and reverse logistics, and consults internationally from his base on the Island.
Earlier this year he addressed Europe's major Field Service conference, Service Management Expo 2010, in Birmingham, and later in December he will be speaking closer to home when he gives a talk about field service technologies to computing students at the Isle of Man College.
The Aftermarket Europe conference gives delegates an opportunity to gain experience from a large number of experts in various fields and to examine more than 20 case study presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops.
It’s also seen as an opportunity to meet other delegates and discuss how competitors are geared to handle the current economic situation and the future.
Per Falkenius, general manager of Aftermarket 2010, said, “In order to maximise learning and networking, Aftermarket Europe 2010 provides a range of complementary features. During the meeting delegates will take part of presentations from key industry experts and leading practitioners, as well as vivid leadership panels.
“Further, those attending will be engaged in the forum yourself via our round table discussions with fellow guests, as well as through participation in the hands-on interactive workshops."
