POLICE are investigating three incidents which happened over the weekend in the north of the Island, including the theft of heating oil and criminal damage to a car.
A large quantity of heating oil was stolen from an an address on the Bretney Estate, Jurby between Friday and Sunday. Due to the quantity involved it is believed that a vehicle would have been used to transport the oil away from the property.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the theft or any persons having information regarding the theft to contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234.
Criminal damage was caused to a motor vehicle between 7.30pm on Saturday and 09.50am on Sunday. Witnesses are being sought by the police.
The vehicle had been left unattended in the area of Queen’s Drive West, Ramsey when the incident occurred. Damage was caused to the rear panel of the vehicle.

A hit-and-run driver who failed to stop at the scene of an accident is also being sought by police.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened on Saturday at approximately 08.45am in the area of West Quay, Ramsey. A young male cyclist was hit by a black Fiat old style motor vehicle which left the scene without stopping. The cyclist sustained minor injuries as a result.
