Darren is popular winner of the 'Young Achiever of the Year' at Excellence Awards ceremony

THE popular winner of the Barclays Wealth Award as ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ at last night’s Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence was Darren Bell of The Children’s Centre.

 

The likeable Darren Bell obtained an apprenticeship to work at The Children’s Centre at the age of 21 - achieved through his disposition to help others.

 

Darren is seen is a role model to young adults with learning difficulties and devotes his free time to bring out the best in people. He is a talented athlete and has represented the Isle of Man nationally and internationally.

 

His skills focus on helping people with learning difficulties and he has helped turn young adult lives around and is a true inspiration to everyone he meets.

 

The other nominees were Merita Taylor of Royal London 360 and Richard Davies of Junior Chamber of Commerce.

 

The award, sponsored by Barclays Wealth, was presented by Greg Ellison.
