Barclays Wealth staff take part in charity triathlon

STAFF from Barclays Wealth have held a Manx charity triathlon today.

 

The event, which will continue tomorrow (Friday), was is in aid of Crossroads Caring for Carers and Balla Africa.

 

Teams of up to six took part in a number of challenges including the equivalent of rowing to Liverpool, climbing Snaefell, and cycling the TT course.

 

Exercise machines were donated by Carrefour and put in the main branch of Barclays in Victoria Street, Douglas, for the teams to complete their challenges.

 

The goals for the events were to row 82 miles from Douglas to Liverpool, cycle 37.77 miles around the TT course four times and to climb the 620 metres of Snaefell eight times.

 

Teams were made up of Barclays Wealth staff members, invited corporate guests, and the ten sponsor partners of the Commonwealth Youth Games and friends.
