THREE of the Isle of Man’s leading companies are in the line-up for one of the major awards at this evening’s IOM Newspapers Awards for Excellence at the Villa Marina.

Royal London 360, Swagelock and Appleby have been short-listed for the RBS Coutts Award as ‘International Business of the Year’.

Royal London 360 was attracted to the Isle of Man by its reputation as a centre of excellence in financial services and its Triple-A credit rating and has expanded considerably since being established on the Island.

The company now uses the Isle of Man as its base for worldwide marketing and creation of insurance services with a significant potential for growth and additional exposure for the Isle of Man.

Royal London 360 was created through the merger of Scottish Life International and Scottish Provident International. The brand has 30 years’ industry experience and has funds under management of almost 2.75 billion US dollars.

Swagelock is a unique business based on the Isle of Man, providing innovative design and manufacture of high quality fluid systems, products and services.

The company has an established international reputation in a variety of industries including food and beverage production, oil and gas, petrochemicals, and semiconductor manufacturing.

The company also provides quick turnaround on a variety of specialised products in niche local markets.

Appleby is a global group offering legal services in a range of jurisdictions including Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Mauritius and the Seychelles.

This year The Appleby Group won the Offshore Law Firm of the Year award in London, endorsing its reputation for global excellence.

The award will be presented by Andrew Moretta of RBS Coutts.
