THE Isle of Man’s top small business will be honoured at this evening’s Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence at the Villa Marina. Three small to medium companies have been nominated.
Isle of Man Advertising & PR, Green Mann Spring and Purple Accounts are the three companies nominated for the Conister Bank award.
Isle of Man Advertising & PR is a company which delivers international standards to the local market. Founded in 1986, the company is the longest established agency providing advertising, PR, website design and development.
The company is known for its innovative approach and creating fresh and engaging media campaigns for many of the Island’s largest companies and organisations.
Helen Summerscales said, “With more than 23 years’ experience, the company employs a talented team with the skills to deliver and unrivalled service.”
Green Mann Spring is a new business which has had a major impact on the Isle of Man in a very short space of time. This enterprising company is the brainchild of a Manx family and is going from strength to strength.
The company uses natural local resources to replace the importation of mineral water, benefitting the local economy. Joint founder Shane Martin believes strongly in the idea of a self sufficient Island community.
The company has also embarked on an innovative marketing campaign whilst continuing to invest significantly to develop the business.
Purple Accounts was set up by husband-and-wife team David and Helen Parker in 2007 and was launched with the concept of fixed fee accounting aimed at small businesses.
The company has since established a reputation for providing innovative solutions, linked to high standards of customer service.
Clients can review their accounts free of charge via a secure online portal - another innovation which has been a major success story for the business.
The award will be presented by Andrew Bass of Conister Bank.
