Blue plaque for Island funnyman

by isleofman.com 17th November 2010

Sir Norman Wisdom is to get a blue plaque from the UK’s Heritage Foundation.

The funnyman who died last month will be honoured at his childhood home in London in March next year.

The plaque will be unveiled at 91 Fernhead Road, where Sir Norman was born, by members of his family together with his agent Johnny Mans.

There’ll also be a lunch at the Marriott Hotel in Regents Park to celebrate Sir Norman’s life and career, which is expected to be attended by many of his showbusiness friends and colleagues.
