MIKE Loundes of Manx Telecom, Dick Welsh of the IOM Ship Registry and Nikki and Nigel Sperring of Albany HOuse Bed and Breakfast are the nominees for the Domicilium (IOM) Ltd Award at the Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence on Thursday evening.
Mike Loundes has been part of the management team which has seen customer satisfaction levels reach their highest levels ever, thanks to the company’s ‘customers come first’ policy.
Manx Telecom has recognised that excellent customer services have been achieved through appropriate recruiting and induction procedures, training and coaching, as well as measures to acknowledge good service.
The company uses a ‘four tier’ process to track customer satisfaction, which allows it to respond swiftly to issues which may arise. The company also has a strong community presence through various initiatives and activities.
Albany House Bed & Breakfast is a haven for holidaymakers in Peel where customer satisfaction is top of the list for Nikki and Nigel Sperring.
The business has a ‘4-star gold’ rating and customer response has been very positive with the owners acting on guest suggestions as well as seeking advice from tourism officials.
Substantial renovation of the property has taken place to achieve the 4-star rating, resulting in guests being very appreciative of the service, including outstanding Manx breakfasts.
The Isle of Man Ship Registry has achieved a great deal in recent years, being highly placed in a competitive environment of 130 international registries.
The Registry fosters an ethos where staff work closely with clients, keeping them up to date on the ever-changing regulatory environment, an approach which has generated positive feedback and placed staff as excellent ambassadors for the Isle of Man.
