Isle of Man cycling star Mark Cavendish will start his 2011 campaign in January in Australia.
He will compete at the Tour Down Under for the first time for HTC Columbia.
The event takes place in and around Adelaide between the 16th and 23rd of January over 6 stages.
The route is fairly hilly with only the last stage completely flat.
The Manx Missile will be up against former team-mate and sprinter Andre Greipel for the first time.
Cavendish has 62 career wins since turning professional in 2007.
