POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic accident which saw a car lose control and end up on its roof.
The incident happened yesterday Sunday, November 14, at 9.55pm.
A blue VW Golf which was being driven in the general direction of Woodbourne Road lost control near to the junction of Westminster Drive and struck the wall of a house.
The car then overturned and carried on out of control down Alexander Drive before coming to rest on its roof at the junction of Primrose Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle, a 33 year old local man, was taken to Nobles Hospital by ambulance but was not badly injured.
A short time before the collision happened the VW Golf allegedly failed to stop for a marked police van.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the car in the area of Quarterbridge Road or Alexander Drive to contact them on 01624 631212.
