Compliance manager gets on her bike for charity

by isleofman.com 13th November 2010

A WOMAN from the Isle of Man is preparing to embark on a 500km bike ride through the Far East.

Jenny Gordon will undertake the journey to raise money for Victim Support Isle of Man in December.

The journey will take Jenny through plantations and across waterways in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam before on to Cambodia and Siam Reap.

Jenny, who works as a compliance manager at IFG International, has already raised more than £1,000.

She said: "Victim Support Isle of Man does a great deal of work in the community helping victims of crime from burglaries through to serious sexual assaults.

"I'm really pleased to be able to help Victim Support and I really hope the public will get behind this very worthwhile charity."

Paul Gelling from Victim Support said: "Without the personal fundraising of individual supporters like Jenny Victim Support would not be able to provide the current level of service to victims in the Isle of Man.

"We are delighted that Jenny has chosen to raise funds for our charity which will benefit members of the community most in need of our help."

Jenny is hoping to double the money that she has already raised before her journey starts on December 2.
