More work at Richmond Hill

by isleofman.com 13th November 2010

Richmond Hill in Braddan is closed to traffic from 1pm this afternoon (Saturday) until midnight on Sunday night.

It will be shut from Spring Valley roundabout to the Mount Murray Back Road, although access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles, and to businesses in the area.

It's one of a series of closures to allow the Department of Infrastructure to carry out further work as part of a major road improvement scheme.

Drivers will need to use alternative routes, either via the Old Castletown Road or the Cooil Road, which runs through the Braaid, St Mark's and on to Ballasalla.

When Richmond Hill reopens, a 30mph speed limit will remain in force until the scheme is fully completed in December.
