Douglas Borough Council is pressing ahead with plans to install barrier systems, like the one at Ronaldsway Airport, for its three main car parks.
New equipment is set to be introduced at Shaw's Brow, the Bottleneck and King George 5th Park, after the Public Works Committee voted overwhelmingly in favour of the conversion.
