by isleofman.com 11th November 2010

A TREE has brought down electricity cables in Crosby.

The tree fell at the Crosby Crossroads and MEA engineers do not expect the road to be clear until around 1am (Friday).

The section of road between Ballacraine Crossroads and the Glen Darragh Road in Glen Vine remains closed.

A tree which had fallen at Greeba Bridge has now been cleared.

Police are currently on scene at Ballure Road in Ramsey after a large tree has totally blocked the road.

There are also reports of lots of debris on the road near to the Fairy Bridge on the main road between Santon and Ballasalla.

The road is also closed at the junction from Mill Road to Station Place in Peel, as is the Fish Yards, in order to remove a large section of corrugated roof which has blown off a large shed and is currently in the road.
