THE severe weather the Island is currently experiencing is causing a number of problems around the Isle of Man.
The Emergency Service Joint Control Room (ESJCR) has reported a number of incidents and has warned the public to be "extra careful".
There are a number of road closures already in place.
Kewaigue Hill in Braddan is closed after a tree opposite the school fell into power lines. Engineers are on site and the road is expected to re-open at 6pm or as soon as the tree has been felled.
Peel Road is closed due to a potentially unsafe roof on commercial premises. Traffic between Hope Street and The Brown Bobby in Douglas is being diverted. This is expected to have a considerable effect on rush hour traffic.
A tree has fallen directly outside Belle Abbey Farm on the Ballakilpheric Road in Colby which has left the road completely blocked.
There are also trees down on Ballavale Road in Santon and at the Minorca Crossroads in Laxey.
Fencing is down in the vicinity of the Colby Glen pub.
The ESJCR has also received reports of children playing "dodge" in the breakwater area of Castletown Harbour. Their message is "don't" as the sea is extremely rough at this time.
All Flybe flights to and from the Isle of Man have been cancelled.
