Alleged murder victim remembered by her friend

A close friend of former Isle of Man resident Joanna Brown says their circle of friends has been devastated by news of her tragic death.

Police began a search for the 46-year-old when she disappeared from her home at Ascot in Berkshire last week.

A week ago today her husband, Robert Brown, was charged with her murder, and the following day her body was discovered in woodland near Windsor Great Park.

Joanna grew up in Laxey and was educated at the Buchan School, where she made lifelong friends.

One of them, Jo Crookall, told Manx Radio the group held a reunion on the Island during the summer:
