'A milestone in Manx legislation' is how some MHKs are describing two bills which have just had their second reading.
The first would allow for the creation of an auditor general to ensure public funds are properly managed and spent, and the second would introduce an independent non-governmental official, or ombudsman, to resolve complaints about the delivery of public services.
