by isleofman.com 8th November 2010

FILM LOVERS are being given the chance to see a locally made film on the big screen.

Films in Peel are showing The Disappearance of Alice Creed (cert 18) which was filmed in the Island in 2009 – both on location and at the Island Studios in Ramsey.

Starring many well known faces in British film and TV drama including Gemma Areterton, Eddie Marsam and Martin Compston – this film is a tense and provocative thriller.

A large team of local set builders, decorators and dressers were employed to build the set in which a large part of the film takes place.

The film will be shown on Friday, November 12. Doors open at 7.15pm with the film starting at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £4 (or £3 concessions) and are available in advance from Celtic Gold in Peel. Reservation tickets can be picked up at Shakti Man in Ramsey, Peter Norris and Mostly Manx in Douglas, and Thompson Travel in Port Erin.

Any unsold tickets are available on the door.
