Man charged with murder of Joanna Brown to appear at crown court

THE husband of former Isle of Man resident Joanna Brown appeared in court this morning (Friday) charged with her murder.

 

Robert Brown, 46, of Winkfield, appeared before Slough Magistrates and has been remanded in custody.

 

He is also charged with preventing the coroner of Berkshire from holding an inquest.

 

Brown will appear before Reading Crown Court on November 15 for a preliminary hearing.

 

He was arrested on Monday after concerns for the welfare of Joanna were raised and he was charged with both offences at around 5pm yesterday.

 

Thames Valley Police continue to search for mum-of-two Mrs Brown, 46, of Buckhurst Road, Ascot. They remain in the area of Windsor Great Park and the search is expected to continue throughout the day.

 

Mrs Brown used in live in Laxey and has family in the Isle of Man.
