Accident on zebra crossing in Douglas

A pedestrian was knocked down in Bucks Road, Douglas at lunchtime today (Friday).

The accident happened on the crossing outside the headquarters of the Financial Supervision Commission.

Traffic was halted while police dealt with the incident and the injured person was transferred to an ambulance.

The extent of their injuries isn't known.

The incident happened at around midday and resulted in a section of Bucks Road, between Mona Street and Christian Road, being closed for a short time.
