MHK accused of trying to cause trouble

The chairman of Onchan Commissioners says a question in the House of Keys from one of the MHKs for the constituency was electioneering, and the politician concerned should concentrate on national issues and allow the local authority to look after the Onchan area.

David Quirk asked Social Care Minister Martyn Quayle what funds were held by each of the Island's housing authorities for special needs, and how much was in their housing reserve funds.

However, Brian Stowell says the question was really directed at Onchan Commissioners' funding, and Mr Quirk was trying to make problems where none exist:
