by isleofman.com 3rd November 2010

VANDALS who caused damage to the school in Port St Mary are being sought by Police.

Port Erin Police are investigating after damage was caused to an ornate flower bed at the front of Scoill Phurt Le Moirrey on Station Road.

The flower bed was in the form of a large tractor tyre that had been filled with soil and planted with bulbs.

Vandals have approached the tyre, stood it on its side, and rolled it down a flight of steps damaging the contents.

Due to its weight Police believe several people were involved.

The incident happened between 10.30pm on Saturday, October 30, and 9.30am on Sunday, October 31.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Port Erin Police Station on 01624 832222.
