by isleofman.com 3rd November 2010

POLICE are investigating after a taxi was left damaged in a road traffic collision in Douglas.

An unknown vehicle which was travelling up Broadway collided with the wing mirror of a silver Mercedes taxi which was coming from the opposite direction.

The collision caused damage to the taxi's wing mirror.

The incident happened on Monday, November 1, at around 6.30pm.

PC Cullivan said: "Someone may have not realised that they had caused the damage, especially if they were in a large vehicle, but there is damage and I would like to now speak to the driver to resolve the matter.

"It may be that the driver stopped initially but by the time the taxi turned around back to where it had happened the other vehicle had gone."

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Damien Cullivan at Lord Street Police Station on 01624 631434.
