It's emerged a woman at the centre of a Thames Valley Police murder inquiry grew up in the Isle of Man.
Officers in Berkshire are searching for 46-year-old Joanna Brown, after friends raised the alarm when they couldn't contact her at her home in Ascot.
Her husband, Robert Brown, a British Airways pilot, is being questioned on suspicion of her murder.
Joanna was the daughter of the late Chris Simpson, a well-known property developer in the Island with Mill Baldwin during the 1980s.
She grew up in Laxey and was educated at the Buchan School.
It's understood police in the Isle of Man have been in contact with her mother and brother, who are awaiting news.
