Agreement allows for reduced Packet services

There's a wait to see how the Steam Packet will be affected by the loss of some of its major freight customers to Mezeron.

Staff have been briefed by management at the company, and chief executive Mark Woodward hasn't ruled out job losses.

He also says passenger services could be cut, and the Island's director of harbours Captain Mike Brew says there is scope within the user agreement, between the Steam Packet and the Manx government, for that to happen:
