Talks continue for Steam Packet staff

by isleofman.com 1st November 2010

Uncertainty surrounds jobs and ferry passenger services at the Steam Packet Company this afternoon (Monday).

It follows the loss of major freight customers to Mezeron's owners, Dohle, after it launched a new daily freight service between the Island and Liverpool.

Briefings are taking place with staff this afternoon as the Steam Packet assesses its next move.

Chief executive Mark Woodward admits passenger services are under consideration and he can’t rule out job losses.
