Karran sticks to his guns

An MHK says he won't be deterred from his plans for a publicly elected chief minister.

Onchan member Peter Karran is pressing ahead with his private member's bill, despite the emphatic rejection by the House of Keys of a similar set of proposals from South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey, at last week's sitting.

Mr Karran is insisting the public should have a say in who secures the 'top job' in Manx politics:
