by isleofman.com 29th October 2010

MOTORISTS are being urged to take care following reports of fuel on roads throughout the Island today (Friday).

The Emergency Services' Joint Control Room said there are reports of fuel from Quarterbridge through to Glen Helen on the TT course and possibly further.

There are also reports of fuel on the roads in Douglas at Christian Road, Circular Road and Tromode Road through to Ballafletcher Hill.

A spokesman said: "Motorists are advised to take care due to the slippery nature of the roads caused by this fuel on the road and also to check their vehicles to ensure they are not leaking any fuel."
