The Island's public health chief is emphasising the need for a strict approach to hygiene among those most at risk from Weil's disease.
The death of Olympic champion rower Andy Holmes from Weil's has been in the news this week, and prompted local farmer Ned Kennaugh to describe his frightening experience of catching the disease, which nearly cost him his life.
It's caught from river water contaminated with the urine of infected rodents.
