Minute's silence in memory of Jamie

Tributes are continuing to pour in to Onchan student Jamie Haslett.

The 19-year-old former St Ninian’s pupil died in Sheffield in the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday) morning when he was run over by a police car responding to an incident.

The accident is being investigated by the United Kingdom's Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Jamie was a keen sportsman who played football for Laxey and was a member of Manx Harriers.

President of Laxey FC Dudley Dutt MLC told Jason Roberts he will be sadly missed, and members of the club will pay their own tribute this weekend:
