THE family of Jamie Haslett - the 19 year old from the Isle of Man who was killed in Sheffield yesterday - have thanked family and friends for their support.

Jamie, of Onchan, was run over by a police car in the early hours.

He is a former St Ninian's High School student and was studying at Sheffield Hallam University.

A statement has been issued via Isle of Man Constabulary which said the family has returned home to the Island and will not be making any statement to the media about Jamie's death at this time. The family has asked for the media to respect its privacy.
