Fire service cut person out of car following Ballasalla crash

THE Fire and Rescue Service cut a person out of a car following a crash in Ballasalla earlier today (Sunday).

 

Only one vehicle was involved in the incident at Black Hill at 11.40am.

 

Station officer Carl Kinvig said: "On arrival one occupant of the vehicle was found to be trapped.

 

"Crews made the vehicle safe and using cutting equipment extricated the casualty under the direction of paramedics. The casualty was removed to hospital via ambulance."

 

Two appliances - one from Castletown and one from Douglas - attended along with an emergency rescue vehicle. 

 

The fire service was at the scene for 90 minutes.

 

No further details have been released as of yet.
