by isleofman.com 24th October 2010

THE Manannan fast craft - which encountered a technical fault yesterday - is due to be back sailing today (Sunday).

The latest Steam Packet information shows the vessel will leave Douglas at 3.30pm to head to Liverpool.

The fast craft will sail from Liverpool back to Douglas at 7.30pm.

Yesterday passengers were left waiting for hours after a technical fault in a control system was spotted as the vessel prepared for departure.

It happened on the 10am sailing to Liverpool - which had already been postponed by 45 minutes due to conditions in the Irish Sea.

At 3pm the decision was made to cancel the sailing as well as the return sailing from Liverpool in the evening.
