A magazine in the United Kingdom is set to name an Isle of Man resident the most influential in the North of England next week.
The Big Issue in the North will list the region's 50 most influential people in terms of economic clout, political sway and cultural impact.
At number one is John Whittaker of the Peel Group, which owns the Trafford Centre, Liverpool Airport and MediaCityUK.
The list marks the relaunch of the Manchester-based paper's website, and will be published on Monday.
