Christmas wishes to be granted for local charities

by isleofman.com 21st October 2010

A LOCAL savings company is getting ready to make Christmas extra special for a number of Manx registered charities.

Alliance and Leicester International (ALIL) are launching the 12 Days of Christmas charity campaign next month but are urging charities to  pre-register now.

The campaign helps boost charity funds or provides help for a fundraising event.

This is the third year the promotion will be run having previously been organised by sister company Bradford and Bingley International (BBI).

George Campbell, community affairs manager, said: "We have delivered some fantastic projects over the last two years helping over 80 good causes.

"The staff at BBI and ALIL have been fantastic in supporting a number of charity fundraisers and we look forward to building on that success in 2011.

"We are very excited this year as charities have the opportunity to tap into a funding pool of nearly £50,000 due to our link up with the Santander Foundation."

As there are some changes to previous schemes charities are asked to register their interest by e-mailing george.campbell@alil.co.im or calling 01624 641888.

Charities will receive an invite to the launch evening where full details of this year's scheme will be revealed.
