Crookall will discuss sewage with anybody

A friendly chat during a tea break meant Tynwald was spared a lengthy debate into the cost of implementing the IRIS project in the west of the Island.

Yesterday (Wednesday) evening, East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw argued the prices for the proposed sewerage works in Peel and a pipeline to Meary Veg, Santon from the Sunset City were misleading and inaccurate.

But, during a break in the debate, he spoke to chairman of the Water and Sewerage Authority Tim Crookall, and the pair decided to meet and go through the plans in detail.

Afterwards, Mr Crookall said he was happy to talk to anybody with worries about the project:
