The health minister is vigorously denying any suggestion a new ?1.6 million GP and health centre in Jurby will be a 'Rolls Royce scheme'.
Yesterday (Wednesday), Tynwald gave the go ahead for the project on the site of the now demolished Jurby Hotel, and work could start as soon as next month.
There were calls for two smaller health centres to be built instead, in Jurby and Kirk Michael, but David Anderson says Jurby was always the ideal location and is dismissing claims he was irresponsible not to go for the cheaper alternative (first part of audio file):
