CHILDREN can discover what life was like in the Bronze Age this half-term with a series of workshops at the Manx Museum.
The museum has a new exhibition – Bronze: Alchemy of Mann 100 BC – and will be holding themed activities giving children the opportunity to learn about life in the Isle of Man in the Bronze Age.
Anthea Young, education officer at Manx National Heritage, said: "Only archaeology can help us understand what life was like in the Bronze Age.
"It wasn't until one thousand years after the man found at Ronaldsway died that the first written records were made of life in the Isle of Man."
Children can learn about the recent discoveries at Ronaldsway and try their hand at decorating copper discs and pottery vessels using Bronze Age designs with metalworking techniques.
Workshops take place at the Manx Museum from Monday, October 25, to Friday, October 29.
Two sessions a day will run from 10.30am to 12pm or 1.30pm to 3pm.
Tickets are £5 per child and are available from the museum or by clicking here.
