One of the members of Tynwald who led the attack over the ?414,000 losses incurred by the MEA in its showroom is defending his stance on the matter.
Yesterday, South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey strongly criticised the losses, only to be accused by Chief Minister Tony Brown of having a conflict of interest.
After the debate, Mr Malarkey said he felt the accusation was a red herring designed to keep him quiet over the issue.
