The past comes to life in Ballasalla!

Pupils at Ballasalla primary school know a lot more about Tudor Britain, after a visit by a gunman from the era!

Reenactment specialist David Watts showed them the type of tent in which a soldier would have lived with his wife and children, and demonstrated some of the firearms which were available at the time.

The children also had a chance to show off their knowledge of the Tudor period, which covered the years 1485 to 1603:
