Education system impresses union leader

Advances in information technology, or IT, in schools in the Isle of Man have been highlighted by the president of the National Association of Head Teachers.

Mike Welsh addressed the annual meeting of the Manx branch yesterday (Monday), on a day in which he also visited a number of primary schools and met the Island's Director of Education, John Cain.

Mr Welsh was impressed with the cooperation he witnessed between the Department of Education and Children, headteachers and staff.

He also praised the work being done in the area of IT :
