Do your bit for carbon emissions

by isleofman.com 16th October 2010

There's a second chance to get involved in an initiative to help cut down on carbon emissions on Sunday.

Last Saturday, volunteers joined Chris Pycroft from the Douglas Development Partnership to help lay a new surface on the Middle River Cycle route.

The idea is to make the route suitable for use in all weathers, thereby encouraging more people to use it to travel into Douglas.

The work is continuing at 11am on Sunday with volunteers helping to put down the new path material which is made from recycled quarry waste.

Chris Pycroft says it's simple plan which could make a difference to the town and eventually the Island.
