Ramsey and Douglas both win

by isleofman.com 16th October 2010

Both Manx sides in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two picked up bonus point wins in their respective home fixtures.

Douglas beat Holmes Chapel 24-14 at Port-e-Chee.

First half tries from Tom Chamberlain and Seb Jeanneau gave Douglas a dream start.

In the second half, Chamberlain added his second and a try from Simon Heggs gave them the bonus point and a 24-0 lead.

Holmes Chapel battled hard towards the end and picked up tries through Paddy Kennedy and Paul Watson, both converted by Kristian Clowes, to give Douglas a late scare.

Ramsey maintained their unbeaten record at Mooragh Park with a fine 29-15 win against previously unbeaten Dukinfield.

The Manx side trailed 12-5 at half-time with an Adam Yates try keeping them in the hunt.

In the second half, however, they added tries from Craig Long and Lance Wyllie (two), plus a conversion from Ben Harding and two conversions and a penalty from Shaun Wyllie.
