Isle of Man's wallabies to feature on BBC television

by isleofman.com 16th October 2010

THE BBC One television show - Inside Out North West - will feature the Island's wild wallabies next week.

A team from the show came to the Island in September on a mission to search the Manx countryside for the creatures.

It is believed that there are around 100 that roam free in the Island after escaping from the Wildlife Park 45 years ago.

The timid creatures flourish in the Island's climate despite the belief that they prefer hotter weather.

Inside Out North West will air on Monday, October 18, at 7.30pm on BBC One.
