'Regional sewage strategy is Tynwald's decision'

The Peel MHK is accepting it is unlikely his constituency will be linked to the Meary Veg sewage treatment works in Santon.

Tim Crookall, who is chairman of the Island's Water and Sewerage Authority, has been accused of short-sightedness over the next phase of the IRIS scheme.

He says discussions between the town's commissioners and the authority to try and resolve sewage treatment for the area will continue, but is pointing out that Tynwald has made its feelings known:
