Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra announces two concerts

THE Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra has two concerts on the horizon.

 

The first, a Chamber Concert, is at Laxey Pavillion this Sunday (October 17) at 3pm.

 

It will feature works by Vivaldi, Handel, Elgar, Boyce, Haydn, Stamitz and Rachmaninov and is free admission.

 

The second concert is a French Spectacular which takes place at the Villa Marina, Douglas, on Sunday, November 21, at 3pm and it will also feature the Academy of Dance.

 

The music will include Berlioz: Hungarian March, Debussy: L'Apres-midi d'un Faune, Saint-Saens: Organ Symphony and Revel: Tzigane. The soloist is William Pickering.

 

Tickets are £12.50 for adults, £10 concessions and £5 for children/students and are available from the Villa Marina box office, Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal, Douglas, by ringing 600555 and online at www.villagaiety.com
