Island's 'modest' growth

Chief Minister Tony Brown believes the Isle of Man must tread carefully in presenting its case to the United Kingdom Government.

A Manx delegation led by Mr Brown made contact with senior Tory figures, including Chencellor George Osbourne, at last week's Conservative Party conference in Birmingham.

The scale of public spending cuts planned by the coalition government is making daily headlines in the UK, and Mr Brown says it's important the Island stresses its recent growth is only modest.

He was asked if there was any hint the UK could again scrutinise the Crown dependencies, in seeking to reduce its own deficit:
